The effort in I + D has concentrated on the constant innovation in the own process of foundry of second transformation of the aluminum to minimize the residue of the saline dross.

IDALSA has incorporated the technology of oxicombustión in the burners of the ovens of fusion since 1.998. This system of combustion this defined as “BAT” - (better available techniques) by the important reduction of the consumption of energy.
In IDALSA a pre-processing of every commodity is done, dross of aluminum, that reduces the contribute of you leave flux and, consistently, diminishes the proportion of residual saline dross. This technique utilized by IDALSA was respected like BAT, better available technique, in the BREF Document, and included in the same one (as is evident in the own document) as contribution of IDALSA to the same one.

IDALSA has modernized its dross processing installation, incorporating new methods of separation that originate reductions of flux and saline dross and has expanded its dust collecting installations. In IDALSA the subprocesos of cut, grinding, sifted, electromagnetic and mechanical separation, they permit to reach objectives of improvement in the process of separation and recycling of the aluminum.
IDALSA utilizes Dumpers Newspapers Ovens of last technology, especially designed to recycle scrap and byproducts of aluminum that employ lows quantities of you leave flux. Additionally, new mixtures are utilized of you leave flux, that reduce the quantity of chlorides (leave) to introduce for each Kg. of impurities that contain the scrap and byproducts to melt, reducing consistently the saline dross.

All the investments carried out along the last years (since 1,998) in IDALSA, aiming to set in motion and operating the techniques of processing and minimización of residues, have been communiqués and verified by different agencies and companies you publish (CDTI, Departments of Industry and Environment of the Government of Aragon, PROFIT, Tax Agency).
